Jerry Stethem

Gerald D. Stethem, is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in both publicly traded and privately held entities in a range of industries. He’s worked with companies ranging in size from $10 million to $750 million in revenue, and capital structures from $10 million to $1 billion in senior and subordinated debt and equity.

Mr. Stethem’s roles have included Turnaround and Restructuring Consultant, President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Restructuring Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and he has served on Advisory Boards in a number of situations.

Mr. Stethem’s expertise helps companies and stakeholders meet their objectives, maximize value and promote positive outcomes in times of significant change, distress and financial challenge. He’s helped management and stakeholders of both distressed and healthy companies develop and implement turnaround, business improvement, crisis management and restructuring strategies.

By providing an independent and fresh point of view, Mr. Stethem establishes trust and transparency with all stakeholders, a critical part of successful turnaround and restructuring strategies in even the most challenging situations. Because of this approach, he has become a trusted turnaround advisor to both debtors and creditors, assisting in out-of-court restructurings and recapitalizations, and preserving value for banks, senior debt, subordinated debt holders, employees, vendors, equity and other stakeholders.

Prior to joining Centrus LLC, Mr. Stethem spent ten years with NCS, a publicly traded $750 million distributor of pharmaceuticals, as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He has also served over four years as President and Chief Operating Officer of a large Northeast Ohio plastics manufacturer, and five years as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of a large Northeast Ohio metal and pipe fabrication company serving the power generation industry and more than seven years with Ernst & Young in their Entrepreneurial Services LLC.

Mr. Stethem holds a bachelor of science in business administration and accounting from The Ohio State University. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a resident of Canton, Ohio.
