Terry L. Humphrey

Terry L. Humphrey has spent nearly 20 years devoted solely to helping struggling companies return to financial health, building on expertise earned in his previous 30-year career with a Fortune 500 company.

In his current position as a turnaround consultant, Mr. Humphrey has helped more than 50 companies ranging in size from $10 million to $200 million through times of crisis. More than 95% of these companies are still in business today.

He has worked successfully to restore companies’ fractured relationships with creditors, vendors and customers, helping them avoid bankruptcy. He has stepped into executive positions for his clients such as Interim President, Chief Restructuring Officer and Corporate Advisor. When necessary, Mr. Humphrey has also helped companies through liquidation of assets and guided them through bankruptcy and receivership.

Mr. Humphrey brings a unique perspective to his consulting work, having earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Kent State University. His counseling background helps him navigate the internal dynamics of a struggling company and the emotions that such crises can evoke.

Prior to joining Centrus LLC, Mr. Humphrey spent 30 years at The Babcock & Wilcox Company, a $3.3 billion global provider of technology and services for nuclear, fossil and renewable power markets. He held leadership positions in more than a half dozen business units there, rising to the position of Vice President of International Operations.
